FORTIFY YOUR HOME
Remove all items from balconies
Secure loose items such as patio furniture, grills, and decorations
Check doors and windows for leaks or weak seals
Unplug electronics to prevent damage from power surges
ASSEMBLE YOUR HURRICANE KIT
- Water: 1 gallon per person per day (3–7 days)
- Food: Non-perishable (canned goods, granola bars, etc.)
- Flashlights & batteries
- Portable phone chargers
- Battery-powered weather radio
- First aid kit & medications
- Important documents (in a waterproof container)
- Cash in small bills (ATMs may be unavailable)
- Pet supplies (if applicable)
INSURANCE – OWNERS & RENTERS
For Unit Owners:
- Review your condo insurance policy for coverage on wind, hurricane, and water damage.
- Make sure you have loss of use coverage in case your unit becomes uninhabitable.
- Remember: The HOA’s master policy does not cover personal belongings or interior upgrades.
For Renters:
- Purchase renters' insurance to protect your personal belongings.
- It may also cover temporary housing if your unit is damaged.
- Renters' insurance is very affordable, often just $10–20/month, and can be purchased online in minutes.
Having the right insurance ensures quicker recovery and peace of mind during a disaster.

DUMPSTER USE REMINDER – NO LARGE ITEMS ALLOWED - AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
As we enter hurricane season — and throughout the year — no large items such as:
- Tables
- Chairs
- Mattresses
- Furniture of any kind
are to be left at or near the dumpsters.
The City of Holly Hill does not collect bulk items from HOA dumpster areas. These items are the responsibility of the unit owner or their renter to dispose of properly.
Only regular household garbage and broken-down boxes should be placed inside the dumpsters.
Absolutely no items are to be left on the ground or outside the dumpsters at any time!!
Improper disposal creates a safety hazard, invites fines, and prevents proper waste collection. Please do your part to keep Holly Square clean, safe, and hurricane-ready.
Thank you for your cooperation.
